Hybrid Work Model

For team members situated within 50 kms/31 miles of our five global offices in Ottawa, Eldoret, Penang, Columbus, and Amsterdam, you can expect to come into the office at least one day a week. Job Description

You will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on software products, maintain strong cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders, and manage and execute on key projects, including our product certification program. This role will be responsible for the development, facilitation and delivery of a range of learning solutions supporting Assent’s strategic and operational business needs. Your excellent writing and editing skills, especially in creating storyboards, will be essential. Through a variety of standard modalities, you will create and deliver content that drives the success of our internal employees, customers, and our customer’s suppliers through their lifecycle with our products and services.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

This is a professional training role, accountable for delivering instructional, operational, product and customer-based training programs to internal team members, clients and their suppliers. You will be responsible for creating engaging learning experiences for in-class, web-based and eLearning environments in an effort to support Assent’s products, services and technologies.

Content Creation:

▸ Leverage industry best practices and adult learning theory to develop high-quality training content, both from scratch and leveraging AI tools.

▸ Gather source materials across a variety of approved resources to create brand-consistent training content.

▸ Maintain content integrity and relevance through ongoing analysis, delivery observation, and refinement, particularly following product updates/releases.

Subject Matter Expertise:

Develop a deep understanding of our product, services and solutions to effectively translate technical content into engaging learning materials.

Maintain close relationships with key cross-functional teams to stay updated on product developments and customer journeys to align training content accordingly.

Project Management:

Launch and manage training projects, including the development and implementation of our product certification program.

▸ Conduct training needs analyses across internal and external audiences to identify performance gaps and recommend appropriate training interventions.

Content Delivery Support:

▸ Support the delivery of training programs as needed.

▸ Develop evaluations and post-training analytic methods to assess the transfer of learning and measure business impact, sharing findings with stakeholders for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Experience and Skills:

▸ Experience in designing and developing learning solutions, preferably in a corporate B2B setting.

▸ Experience with learner user experience across learning toolsets and modalities, including in-app content.

▸ Experience with content authoring/creative tools

▸ Experience with LMS systems and/or enablement platforms is an asset.

▸ Proficiency with ChatGPT, DeScript, or other AI tool is considered an asset.

▸ Excellent writing and editing skills, particularly in creating and refining storyboards.

▸ Proven ability to drive and deliver learning solutions in a fast-paced business environment.
