Company Description

Assent is the leading solution for supply chain sustainability tailored for the world’s top-tier, sustainability-driven manufacturers. Hidden risks riddle supply chains, many of which weren't built with sustainability in mind. That's where we step in. With insights from experts, Assent is the tool manufacturers trust for comprehensive sustainability.

We are proud to announce that Assent has crossed the US$100M ARR milestone, granting us Centaur Status. This accomplishment, reached just 8 years following our Series A, makes us the first and only Certified B Corporation in North America's SaaS sustainability industry to celebrate this milestone.

Our journey from $5 million to US$100M ARR in just eight years has been marked by significant growth and achievements. With our $350 million US funding led by Vista Equity Partners, we're poised for even greater expansion and are on the lookout for outstanding team members to join our mission.

Hybrid Work Model

At Assent, we proudly embrace a remote-first work model, valuing the flexibility and autonomy it provides our team. We also acknowledge the intangible benefits of occasional in-person workdays. For team members situated within 50 kms/31 miles of our five global offices in Ottawa, Eldoret, Penang, Columbus, Pune and Amsterdam, you can expect to come into the office at least one day a week. Similarly, those near our co-working spaces in Nairobi and Toronto are encouraged to work onsite once a month.

Job Description

Support data that drives growth, trust, and global scale

At Assent, we believe that accurate, trusted data is the foundation of smarter, more responsible growth. As we expand globally, the integrity and completeness of our data becomes increasingly vital to supporting our Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance teams.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Data Steward to join our Revenue Operations team in Pune, India. In this full-time onsite role, you’ll work closely with global stakeholders and systems to help maintain high standards of data hygiene, support data enrichment efforts, and ensure our CRM and GTM systems remain accurate, reliable, and ready to scale.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their data career who thrives on structure, enjoys digging into systems, and takes pride in ensuring every record is correct.

What you’ll do

  • Maintain data accuracy – Monitor and clean key data points in Salesforce (Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities) to ensure fields are correctly populated and up to date.

  • Support enrichment programs – Work with data tools and enrichment vendors to fill in missing information, validate entries, and improve completeness of records across systems.

  • Audit and troubleshoot – Perform regular audits to identify duplicate records, stale data, or anomalies, and take corrective action in coordination with internal teams.

  • Help define and enforce data standards – Follow and refine data formatting, tagging, and usage conventions to ensure consistent and standardized records across the GTM tech stack.

  • Partner with operations stakeholders – Collaborate with Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, and Business Systems teams to support global data initiatives and campaigns.

  • Contribute to automation – Assist with rule-based automations or workflows that support data validation and error handling in Salesforce.

  • Support reporting and documentation – Maintain logs of updates, contribute to data quality reports, and help document SOPs related to data processes and standards.

  • Act as a data champion – Help reinforce a data-first culture across the organization by modeling best practices and supporting system users with basic guidance.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in a data stewardship, CRM administration, Sales/Marketing Operations, or data quality-focused role—preferably in a B2B environment.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM or other data-centric systems; comfort navigating and updating records.

  • Strong attention to detail—you catch inconsistencies, know how to investigate, and take pride in getting it right.

  • Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel (lookups, filters, deduplication, and formulas).

  • A structured, process-oriented mindset—you follow standards and know when to escalate.

  • Clear communicator with strong written English skills; you can summarize findings, spot gaps, and update documentation clearly.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize routine tasks alongside time-sensitive requests.

  • Experience working in global or cross-functional environments is a plus.
