What You Will Be Doing

We are looking for a dedicated Engineering Manager to coordinate a strong team of Software Engineers. As part of your responsibilities, you will:

• Delivery ownership (responsible for the team output)
  • Agree on deliverables with Product Delivery
  • Ensure/support team to deliver based on commitment
  • Ensure collaboration with other teams for cross-team implementations
  • Coordinate software releases;
  • Handle cross-functional communication/collaboration (HR, product management, DevOps, Design, etc.)

• Process Management
  • Act as a Scrum Master in the team
  • Risk assessment and risk management
  • Support company objectives/policies

• People Management

• Performance management
• 1:1 with team members
• Team members growth (coaching / mentoring, goal setting)

What You Bring

• Experience managing Software Engineers, preferably in medium/large companies; exposure to multicultural environments
• Strong experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) it’s a must
• Proven management and people skills, ability to manage personnel activities of staff (e.g., hires, mentors, coach, trains, appraises, rewards, motivates, and disciplines, and recommends termination as necessary, 1-on-1's, performance reviews, etc. of direct reports)
• Able to make decisions at the appropriate time, considering the needs of the situation, priorities, constraints and the availability of necessary information
• Great attention to detail and a result driven approach
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
• Ability to provide direction, expertise, and support to other team members
• Responsive, assertive and drive a continuous improvement ethos in all interactions
• Ability to work in fast paced environment
• Passion about sharing knowledge and best practices
• Excellent communication skills, able to articulate technical and non-technical issues
• Relevant experience of managing development teams for at least 3 years
