Founded in 2017, Doing Things touts more than 35+ unique brands and delivers more than 100 pieces of original and curated content daily to an audience of more than 80 million followers across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and Snap. This includes the company’s fast-growing direct-to-consumer products business, featuring comedic apparel and accessories based on what’s trending, as well as our Breezy golf apparel line.

Job Description

Doing Things is looking for a strategic and creative Sales Marketing Manager that can build out marketing materials and proposals for our growing list of clients. As a Sales Marketing Manager, you are integral to the pre-sale and pitch process, ensuring that we are strategically positioning our offerings and creative solutions in a way that best addresses the clients brief.

At Doing Things, we offer a creative-first approach to sales marketing proposals and pitches and are seeking someone with a deep understanding of advertiser’s challenges and the ability to craft a strong story within our proposals.

Day to day responsibilities include building materials that answer a client’s Request for Proposal, working closely with the Creative team to build out thoughtful sales packages, and working closely with the Sales team to understand their needs in the marketplace, and a strong understanding of our editorial offerings.

We are looking for someone in the New York area, who is willing to work from our New York City office on a hybrid schedule, approximately 2-3 days per week.


  • Brainstorming with the Sales and Creative teams on creative strategy and solutions.
  • Having a strong understanding of the social media landscape (creators, memes, shows) that pertain to/help the RFP.
  • Run point on coordinating and communicating with the right internal teams to ensure a timely response on proposals.
  • Deck building and ongoing collaboration with Sellers, Account Managers, and Creative team, including:
    • Building slides that focus on the strategy and solution of our proposal.
    • Creating slides that articulate our offering.
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials for key editorial tentpoles moments.
  • Have a good grasp of basic design skills via programs like Google Slides, Canva, etc.
  • Keeps abreast of industry trends.


  • 3-5+ years experience working as a Marketing Manager or Brand Strategist in a social media or publisher environment.
  • Deep knowledge of the social media content landscape - specifically memes, creators, and viral content.
  • Basic design skills to build proposals via tools such as Google Slides, Canva. Photoshop not required, but appreciated!
  • Bring your own, unique, refreshing and diverse brain to the table -- we want to learn from you .
  • Adaptable, enthusiastic, comfortable being uncomfortable, resourceful and resilient.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, as well as strong attention to detail.
  • High level of comfort with managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Communicates at a high level.
  • Thrives in a high growth, fast paced environment.
  • A proven team player who prefers to collaborate on projects rather than work independently.
