Job Description:

We are seeking a Contract Post-Production Manager to oversee post workflows for branded and editorial video content at Doing Things (Core). This role will manage schedules for a hybrid team of editors, ensure on-time delivery across all video production, and streamline systems to improve efficiency and output. The role is freelance contract with an expectation of 30-40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage post-production schedules and timelines for a team of growing freelance and in-house editors across all original shows, ensuring all deliverables meet deadlines and quality standards
  • Oversee post-production across both branded and editorial video content.
  • Conduct quality control reviews for episodes prior to delivery, addressing any issues before handoff
  • Package and deliver final content to Account Managers and/or Publishing Managers
  • Build, expand, and maintain a vetted freelance editor network, integrating new talent into active production schedules
  • Serve as the primary post-production liaison between branded & editorial Account Managers, Production Managers, Producers, and Publishing Managers to ensure alignment and execution on timelines and output
  • Design, implement, and optimize post-production workflows and systems to improve efficiency and output across all video output
  • Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks in post-production processes
  • Build and maintain organized asset management, version control, and archival practices

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in a post-production management or supervisor role within digital media. Experience creating and managing viral social content output is preferred
  • Proven experience managing hybrid post-production teams (in-house and freelance)
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (particularly Google Sheets for scheduling and tracking) and Slack
  • Strong understanding of social media video content workflows, including short-form and episodic formats
  • Experience overseeing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in post-production tools like Adobe Creative Suite. Experience as an editor is a plus
