What you’ll work on
As the Financial Controller, you will oversee the financial operations during a pivotal time for the business. This 9-month contract, starting in June 2025, will involve managing statutory responsibilities, supporting a new system implementation, and handling corporate restructuring initiatives. Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will manage a team of three in Belfast, ensuring financial integrity and providing insights to support strategic decisions.
Day to Day
- Prepare monthly and quarterly group consolidations and review monthly management accounts.
- Present the monthly management pack to the SLT.
- Ultimate responsibility for all statutory reporting requirements for our UK and ROI entities, ensuring compliance and managing financial reporting requirements for £10M+ turnover businesses
- Lead and manage a team of three finance professionals in Belfast, offering mentorship and support to ensure high-quality financial output
- Support and guide the transition from SAP to Netsuite, scheduled for mid year 2025, ensuring a smooth system changeover
- Manage transfer pricing at the group level, ensuring all practices align with restructuring goals and best practice
- Oversee and ultimate responsibility for 2024 and 2025 audit processes, engaging with Auditors from end to end, ensuring timely and accurate responses to auditor inquiries across the group.
- Act as the primary liaison for audit and statutory reviews
About You
- Extensive experience in Financial control, ideally within a mid-sized business in UK and ROI
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to guide and develop a Finance team
- Experience with Netsuite implementation would be an advantage
- Solid understanding of audit process, restructuring practices including transfer pricing Experience supporting investment rounds or financial planning related to venture-backed funding would be an advantage
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a financial controller or senior finance role, ideally with experience in system implementations
- Proven experience managing statutory compliance and audits for UK and ROI entities.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Netsuite) and financial reporting software
- Strong understanding of financial consolidation, intercompany transactions, and corporate restructuring processes
- Experience in group consolidation
