Job Description
The Senior Project Manager will oversee the end-to-end delivery of projects involving web, API, and mobile app development while also ensuring that security and compliance standards are met, particularly those relevant to the financial services sector. You will manage teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies and Azure DevOps, and also lead efforts to ensure that the software meets industry regulations, data privacy standards, and audit requirements.
This is a key role in ensuring that our products not only meet market needs but also align with the stringent security and compliance standards of the financial industry.
Responsibilities
- Agile Project Management: Lead project planning, sprint execution, and delivery using Agile/Scrum methodology. Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and sprint planning.
- Azure DevOps: Use Azure DevOps to manage project backlogs, work items, CI/CD pipelines, and releases, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and collaboration within the team.
- Security & Compliance Oversight: Ensure that all projects meet financial industry security standards, including data privacy, encryption, and compliance with regulatory frameworks (such as PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or GDPR).
- Compliance Auditing: Lead and manage regular compliance audits for the software, ensuring it meets internal and external standards for security and legal compliance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with development teams, QA, product owners, security experts, and financial compliance officers to ensure successful project delivery and audit readiness.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, security measures, and compliance adherence.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify project risks, especially related to security and compliance, and work with teams to implement mitigation strategies.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor teams on Agile practices, security considerations, and compliance needs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Budget & Resource Management: Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring that security and compliance efforts are fully integrated into project plans.
- Financial Sector Expertise: Utilize industry knowledge to ensure that product development aligns with financial sector best practices and regulatory requirements.
