Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and technically skilled security content lead to join our team and help us stay ahead of evolving cyber threats. This role will focus on managing the development and support of OOTB content which is deployed for all our customers. You will work closely with our product management, engineering and other field-facing teams to ensure our content is aligned with customer requirements.

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Security Content to lead a highly technical team of security content engineers. The individual will be responsible for the end-to-end ownership of OOTB content, including detection policies and data parsers, ensuring we continuously deliver high-quality, customer-centric, and impactful content.

This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll oversee technical execution, drive cross-functional collaboration, manage stakeholder expectations, and help scale our processes and people.

What Your Role Entails -

• Oversee the development, release, and maintenance of all out-of-the-box (OOTB) content—including parsers and detection policies.
• Define and uphold high standards for content quality, performance, and consistency.
• Work closely with the senior leadership to shape team strategy and roadmap.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Field Engineering, Support, and Customer Success teams to gather feedback and address customer challenges and escalations.
• Work with Product Management to define quarterly and annual objectives, aligning team deliverables with broader company goals.
• Collaborate with Engineering teams to align on architectural decisions and requirements for new content and features.
• Partner with Scrum Masters to ensure sprint deliverables are met on time and at expected quality.

Operational Excellence

• Continuously improve and document internal team processes for content development, QA, and delivery.
• Drive accountability, transparency, and predictability through metrics, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Maintain a backlog of content improvements, feature requests, and tech debt items to prioritize effectively.

• Manage and mentor a diverse team of engineers and subject matter experts.
• Identify skill gaps and foster individual and team growth through regular feedback, training, and career development planning.
• Create and maintain a high-performing, collaborative team culture.

Skills Required -

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations (SOC), threat detection, or SIEM content development.
• 4+ years of people management experience, ideally in a SaaS or security product company.
• Strong understanding of detection engineering, data parsing/normalization, and security use cases.
• Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional initiatives and working with PMs, engineers, and field teams.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Familiarity with cloud-native SIEM platforms, modern detection-as-code practices and parser development with any SIEM vendor.
• Working knowledge in Threat Detection content development
• Prior experience building or leading content delivery pipelines (QA, testing, packaging)
• Working knowledge of database technologies like SQL, Redis, Solr, Snowflake, HBase
• Experience with Python automation development
