US Mobile is building the future of wireless communication. The goal: one unified network open to any person and any device, worldwide. Connection without walls.
We’re getting there by empowering customers. All three major networks on one phone and one plan, plus home internet from Starlink. No lock-in. No commitments. Custom fit plans at every price point. 24/7 customer support with real people, empowered to help. We get real-time feedback from Reddit, surveys, and customer support informing product roadmaps and everything we do. It’s working — Consumer Reports named us the top-rated mobile carrier two years in a row.*
And we’re building innovative systems that scale. A network agnostic tech stack. Agile, cross-functional teams built on trust and mutual respect. This work isn’t for everyone. If you work fast, flexibly, and collaboratively — without compromising standards — we want to hear from you.
We’re looking for a Senior AI Engineer to lead the evolution of our voice technology stack. Your journey will begin by spearheading our Voice Biometrics and Authentication framework—ensuring our systems are secure and identity-aware. As you establish this foundation, you will transition into architecting the future: Next-Generation Voice AI Agents. You will play a pivotal role in moving beyond simple commands toward creating sophisticated, secure, and human-like conversational entities that can verify, understand, and assist users in real-time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish the Trust Layer: Design and deploy robust voice biometric systems (Speaker Verification and Identification) to serve as the secure entry point for our voice ecosystem.
- Anti-Spoofing & Security: Develop advanced liveness detection and anti-cloning models to protect against deepfakes and synthetic audio attacks.
- Architect Voice AI Agents: Lead the long-term transition toward autonomous Voice Agents by integrating Biometrics with ASR, TTS, NLU and LLMs.
- Pipeline Innovation: Build end-to-end low-latency pipelines that process streaming audio, enabling fluid, real-time "human-in-the-loop" or fully autonomous interactions.
- LLM Integration: Explore and implement Large Language Models (LLMs) and "Speech-to-Speech" architectures to give our voice agents contextual memory and reasoning capabilities.
- Performance Engineering: Optimize models for accuracy (minimizing FAR/FRR) and latency, ensuring the agent responds with sub-second "Time to First Token."
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in AI/Machine Learning, with a strong portfolio in Speech Processing or Audio Intelligence.
- Biometric Expertise: Proven experience in speaker recognition, embedding extraction (x-vectors/d-vectors), and signal processing.
- Conversational AI Vision: Deep understanding of the modern "Voice Stack"—specifically how to connect ASR, LLMs, and TTS into a cohesive agentic workflow.
- Tooling & Frameworks: Expert-level proficiency in PyTorch or TensorFlow, and familiarity with speech libraries such as SpeechBrain, NVIDIA Riva, or Kaldi.
- Production Excellence: Experience deploying real-time AI models in cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure) with an emphasis on high-availability and security.
- Growth Mindset: A background in general AI with the agility to master niche voice biometrics today and lead broad Voice AI agent strategy tomorrow.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary
- Flexible working hours
- Supplemental health insurance
- Professional development stipend
- $500 wfh tech set-up reimbursement
225000 - 300000 USD a year
